Adventures in an asteroid belt

I was on my way to meet up with a nullsec corp, who are going to show me around their territory (and make some sweet screenshots), when I came upon a lone Orca mining in an asteroid belt. He had been beset by 3 AI pirates, 2 cruisers and a battleship. I had my own beefed up Condor, as that is my fastest ship (with a top speed of 5,132km/s) and I travel in that. engaged the cruisers first as they had missiles and could actually hit my ship, using targeting jammers I survived against their missile onslaught and then proceeded to engage the battleship, which ended up being surprisingly easy as it wasn't armed with missiles, and its guns couldn't hit me. The miner was actually AFK, so I doubt he would have been able to survive those angels for very long. I was going to hang around for a while, but a few members of a group called The Porpoises. At that point I bugged out and warped to a station, I didn't want to get caught up in a pirate attack.
